Born in East L.A.

Javier Del Sol ( of Cora Indian descent - the indigenous Cora hail from Acaponeta, Nayarit, Mexico) has entertained audiences across the United States, Canada, and Mexico with his storytelling and comedy. Javier shares the same enthusiasm for storytelling as his Mexican mother did when she enchanted him with Biblical stories and a personal recounting of her life. He has been telling stories since he was a young boy growing up in East Los Angeles barrios of Southern California in a Pentencostal family in an ocean of Mexicano-Chicano Catholics. Javier draws on his experiences with theater and comedy, bringing fun and laughter to such diverse stories as Aesop's fable, " The Frog and the Cow; the African folk tale, "The Magic Mirror, the Magic Sandals, and the Magic Bag"; the Native American tale, "How the Turtle Got Its Lines on Its Shell"; the Jewish folk tale, "The Digit Debate," and other universal stories from around the world. A longtime resident of the City of Lake Worth, Javier is dedicated to bringing the arts to the neighborhoods... and the neighborhoods to the arts. He coordinates "Arts For Everyone," an arts and cultural project for over 10 years. He has also directed  "Kids on the go" theater, coached "Just Tell It!" storytelling club, and founded and coordinated Chief Sitting Bull Community Organic garden for over 15 years. Javier founded and coordinates "Earthkeepers Nature Club" since 1998. All of these projects and programs are in the City of Lake Worth. He is presently coordinating several gardens at Highland Elementary School.
